As part of Spotify’s core press team, I was responsible for drafting press materials to increase awareness of Spotify in the U.S., including press releases, key messages, fact sheets and blog posts. Here are two samples of my work. The first is a blog post capitalizing on consumer interest in the Superbowl. Spotify’s Superbowl playlists were picked up by online outlets such as RollingStone.com and Mashable.
The second is a press release with a fun lifestyle angle to grab national media attention. Using raw data of the top wedding songs played on Spotify in the U.S., I drafted an engaging press release to stand out in the consumer news cycle. Spotify’s wedding story landed in segments on the Today Show and ABC World News Tonight and in online news outlets such as The Huffington Post and NYDailyNews.com. The wedding story was viewed by over 30 million consumers.
